Dr. Peter Cahill
Dr. Cahill completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine and is board certified in both internal medicine and geriatric medicine. He has been actively involved in geriatric medicine since his fellowship. He believes effective geriatric care looks at the whole person, not just his or her physical or mental situation. |

Dr. Brian Fitzpatrick
Dr. Fitzpatrick has been at Total Longterm Care's Pinnacle Center since the beginning of 2004. He has been in geriatrics for more than 20 years, most recently at the Boulder Medical Center. Dr. Fitzpatrick has his medical degree from Georgetown University. He was formerly the head of clinical geriatrics at the University of California, San Diego. |

Jennifer Franz
Jennifer has a family practice background but says that working with the elderly population fulfills personals goals of serving a population in need. Jennifer joined Total Longterm Care in November 2005. Originally from Colorado, Jennifer earned her BSN and MS with a Family Nurse Practitioner emphasis from Regis University. |

Julie Hauer, NP
Nurse Practitioner, Cody Center
Julie has a Masters of Science from the University of Colorado and is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Julie has been a nurse for more than 40 years, before coming to Total Longterm Care in 2004, she worked with seniors in nursing homes. She believes her role as a nurse practitioner allows her an opportunity to make an impact on others lives, and that TLC provides a wonderful service which no one else is providing.

Dr. Jane Kim
Dr. Kim attended medical school at the University of Kentucky, accomplished her family practice residency at St. Josephs Hospital in Phoenix and completed her geriatric fellowship in Sun City, Arizona. Upon completion of her fellowship in July 2003, she joined Total Longterm Care. |

Joanne Lofthause, NP
Nurse Practitioner, Pinnacle Center
Joanne joined Total Longterm Care in August 2007, drawn to the organization by the fact that, "We respect the core values of each individual and create a team approach to care that isnt only built around a medical model. Joanne had previously worked at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center as a clinical research coordinator and feels that her job at the Pinnacle Center returns her to the geriatric care she loves. I enjoy working with this population because their life stories and insights are so rich, she said. Joanne is originally from Rochester, New York and moved to Colorado in 2006.

Dr. Jonathan B. Peterson
Dr. Peterson earned his Medical Degree from Northwestern University and served his residency in Oak Park, IL. He then entered the United States Army as a family physician, serving eight years, stationed in North Carolina, Georgia and South Korea. For the past three years, Dr. Peterson has been working in community health centers. He joined the Total Longterm Care team in March 2007. He says, The life experiences of geriatric patients and the program philosophy drew me to Total Longterm Care. I am most impressed with the integrated model and the communication among the various team members. Dr. Peterson and his wife have twin daughters and live in Englewood with their family dog.

Judy Russell, Geriatric Nurse Practitioner
Judy has a nursing degree, a Master's in medical surgical nursing, and an adult geriatric nurse practitioner certificate.. She now has more than 30 years in geriatric care. For Judy, geriatrics is a calling, not just a living. |

Dr. Mary Tuuk
Dr. Tuuk received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado and her fellowship in geriatric medicine at the Denver VA Medical Center. Dr. Tuuk is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics. She has been involved with the care of seniors since going into practice in 1989. She joined Total Longterm Care in 1998. Dr. Tuuk has also been a hospice medical director and is active in the development of our End of Life program.

Barb Van Buskirk, GNP
Nurse Practitioner, Chambers Center
Barb got her nursing degree at the University of Northern Colorado then her GNP Certificate at the University of Colorado. She has served in the geriatric field for 17 years and loves the living history each participant represents.

Dr. Harry White
Dr. White joined the Total Longterm Care Cody Center in January of this year. Since then, he has been leading the Cody Clinic swing team that sees participants from both the Cody East and West. Dr. White comes to Denver from Detroit, where he served as director of the stroke and geriatrics unit at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. He considers it a privilege to be working with older people with such rich histories and stories. I look at medicine as a narrative, said Dr. White. I see my role as helping people write their stories. Originally from Virginia, he received his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg and his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He completed a residency in Rehabilitation Medicine at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston and a fellowship in Geriatrics at Duke University.

Dr. Paul Wright
Dr. Wright attended medical school at Michigan State University and completed his residency in internal medicine in California. He became interested in geriatrics during his internal medical practice in rural Minnesota. After attending training at the University of Minnesota, he was certified in geriatrics. He has been in geriatrics for 12 years and appreciates the social aspect geriatrics medicine involves.
