Nursing Home Care
There may be times when it is necessary for the participant to stay in a nursing home for a short-term acute illness or for respite care. The participant, his or her family, and the personal-care team together may decide that a participants health has declined so much that he or she will need to living in a nursing home. The team will then make their suggestion to the Nursing Home Review committee. That committee has to approve anyone who is permanently moving to a nursing home.
